1. What Cyclopalypse Is

Cyclopalypse is a public-awareness tool that visualizes disease outbreak data on an interactive map, with a focus on Cyclosporiasis. It is fully open — there are no accounts, no logins, and no paywalls. The case figures shown are illustrative and modeled on public-health patterns; this is not a live medical or surveillance service.

2. Data We Collect

Almost nothing. Cyclopalypse has no user accounts and no database of visitors. The app loads a small set of static outbreak data files and renders them in your browser. We may collect standard anonymous, server-side analytics (aggregate page views and error rates) with no personal identifiers attached.

3. Data We Do Not Collect

  • We do not create accounts or store personal profiles.
  • We do not track you across sessions or devices.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share data for advertising.
  • We do not collect payment information.
  • We do not require or store your location.

4. Maps & Third-Party Services

Vercel

May host the app and collect server logs and performance metrics.

5. Medical Disclaimer

Cyclopalypse is for awareness and education only. It is not medical advice, not a diagnostic tool, and its illustrative figures must not be cited as official case counts. If you have symptoms, contact a healthcare provider.

6. Children's Privacy

Cyclopalypse collects no personal information from anyone, including children. It is a general-audience educational resource.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the project evolves. Material changes will be noted by updating the date at the top of this page.
